30 days of reading, hearing, and speaking truth into our lives; hope.

Welcome to day 29!

Hope…..don’t ever loose it. Cling to it! Let it fuel your faith always!

This is a special word, a feeling inside that keeps us pressing on. Hope really is a prerequisite to our faith. Without hope, what need would we have for our faith. Still, without faith, there would be no hope.

Verse of the day!

bible verse

As I think about what I want to leave with you, something that provides great impact, HOPE comes to mind. Although we are claiming with complete confidence, BLESSING this year in our lives! Reality is, we will have some bad days. Days when we feel weathered, stretched, and a little hopeless.

But that’s ok. Because we know that we live in a broken world. It would be silly to have any other expectation. There is no escaping the sin of this world until Jesus comes and we meet Him in the clouds of glory! (Oh, how I look forward to that day!). Until then, it is an impossibility for our lives and those around us to be void of sin.

However, what we do have, is Jesus! We have the absolute unwavering Hope in who He is, and what He did for us on the cross, and does for us daily! Together we can take our God given hope and cling to Jesus by exercising our faith. In Him, no matter what comes our way, we will be victors!

We may find ourselves in some storms this coming year, but we will weather them victoriously because of the one that stands by us, lives in us, and holds us up with His mighty hand.

Together let’s look at some of God’s promises that we tuck in our hearts for those rainy days,

No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their vindication is from Me, declares the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing (James 1: 2-4).
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8: 37-39).

Jesus is our blessing, as long as we have Him we can withstand anything and come out triumphantly blessed!

Together let’s claim blessing & victory! In Christ Jesus, we are conquerors. Nothing can stop us from His best and His blessing if we keep saying YES to Him. Together, let’s continue pressing in, following His lead, and leaving the consequences of our obedience up to Him.

Because that is the very heart of blessing!

30 days of reading, hearing, and speaking God’s truth into our lives; dismantling the lies!

Welcome to day 16!

Today we are going to look at the way the devil lies to us and why He does this. Then together we are going to commit to raising our awareness of our thoughts so we can speak truth over these lies. We all know that we are what we think.

Whatever is going on upstairs in our mind, is what is going to come out.

Let’s start by recognizing where the lies began; in the Garden of Eden. The devils first encounter with man was a lie. He lied to Eve, but in a very crafty way. He deceived her by making sin look better than good.

Fast forward a bit, and here we are today; still in battle with satan fighting the lies as followers of Jesus. Apart from Christ we have no power over our adversary. However, because we belong to Christ we have been given authority over him.

The verse of the day!

1 John 4:4

What does the devil’s lies look like?

  • You might as well quit.
  • Go ahead and give up.
  • You don’t have what it takes.
  • Nobody loves you.
  • You are going to end up lonely.
  • That is not going to work, so don’t even try it.
  • Your marriage will l never get better.
  • You are not good enough for God.

And the list goes on……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Why does the devil lie to us?

He wants to control our thoughts because when he does we become ineffective, hopeless, and we loose our ability bless others. That is his plan for this world, death, hopelessness, and captivity. He knows that our thoughts determine our actions, and that is why he starts with our minds. When we give into the devils ploys it leaves us debilitated.

God’s word says,

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ ( 2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen (Ephesians 3:20).

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:19).

“If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes ( Mark 9:23).”

Together as we speak these truths out over our lives and our families lives, God will be faithful. As we train ourselves to recognize the work of the devil, we will be able to put his lies under us. They will loose power over us, and we will become victorious in Jesus name.

God has so much in store for those that pursue Him. He longs to rock your world in ways you can’t even imagine!

I am praying for you all, that God would  manifest Himself to us all in such a powerful way that we cannot ever forget His goodness towards us.

If you are being blessed by this journey, share it! On PIN IT! It keeps on blessing each time it gets pinned!

Song of the day!

Mercy Me, Greater
